I need a new bakelite handle for this same crank, mine is broken in half. Mike, could you supply one that fits on the 113a winding crank? Only the bakelite handle. It simply slips on the crank end, and the narrowed part of that holds a leather strip which grips the handle in place by friction.
Of you have one for sale, please, PM me. Thanks!

If your bakelite grip is held on with a piece of leather, then something is very wrong! There should be a small circular spring-steel clip which wraps round the narrowest part of the handle, and has three very sharp prongs. As the grip is pushed on, the prongs are depressed, but open up as the grip reaches the correct position, thus preventing the grip being pulled off. Once the grip is fixed, it is impossible pull it off without breaking it.

Ahaaaa! Thanks for the tip! That's how mine must have been split in two parts! The former owner must have tried to extract it!
Then my leather collar is a post-repair work! Curious! He refitted it using that leather collar, which works fine, but allows to extract the bakelite handle!
I've seen the three legs device in other things, I don't remember where!
That's difficult to remove, unless you slip a celluloid sheet between the handle and the crank, rolled as a cylinder, to bend the three legs into it , so it finally gets inserted between the legs and the bakelite, freeing the handle from them... I could try this on another crank to see if it works...

It won't work, because the three prongs point to the rear of the grip, and have sprung upwards into the grip, to prevent it being pulled off. So if you insert a cylinder of celluloid, it will not be able to pass over the prongs. It will hit the underside of them and will only push them further up! On the odd occasion that I've encountered one of these handles that are so encrusted with rust that the grip won't turn, I've done the following. If the grip was made of wood, it was easy to split it down the centre with a sharp chisel, clean everything up, and reassemble, then glue the two halves of the grip back together. I have done the same with the bakelite grips, but they tend to shatter into many pieces! Given the difficulty of removing them intact the likelihood of you getting a replacement grip are rather slim, so I think your only recourse is to glue the two halves of the one you have at the moment.

Thanks, I see... Tried the celluloid trick, but as you said, it couldn't be inserted very far into the handle. No way. The one I've tried to extract is from a smaller viva tonal Columbia machine. I bought it thinking it would serve for the 113a, but I missed to take the measure, supposing it was the same. Crash & error, it was slightly shorter and smaller too.
So I'll stay with my broken handle, unless soundgen gets a fresh one for me...

Hello guys!
Finally I have my handle.
I have modified a "wrong" handle.
I made an extension in brass to reach the motor receiver and I plated the old one by heating it and transferring brass to it . I made the complete "folding" handle in brass as well because the other one didn't reach the hole to store it. All tappings were made using BSF
The "wrong" handle:

The handle finished to fit 113A:

Thank you guys for your help.
Hugs to everyone!
