Sister Stands Reunited
Nice to have the two back together. Was one offered earlier or at the same time?

Wow! Nice! You may play two copies of the same record synchronized! And if you choose an Andrews Sisters record, you'll have six sisters!

A special thanks to my friend 1000's of miles from me sending the correct drawer pull ring. Finishes the stand nicely I think.
I was also relieved the hot-air machines fit on the stands....barely.

Tantamount to Blasphemy having Maestrophones sitting on Gramophone company machines!
I think the Wood stand was introduced 1901 with the Senior Monarchs, and the "Melba" ca 1903 with the Style 14?

Here's that stand in it's "natural habitat?"
(But I'm told here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49556 that the #14 is, alas, *not* a Melba?!)Sidewinder wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 9:10 am Tantamount to Blasphemy having Maestrophones sitting on Gramophone company machines!

Re: Sister Stands Reunited
The "Melba" reference is regarding the ebonized stand. Even though the stand was not just offered for a "Melba" Gramophone model, but also for a Style 14 model like yours.Schlick wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 12:34 pm Here's that stand in it's "natural habitat?"

As already mentioned in the other thread.....your machine is not a Melba.
