I notice that some Orchorsol gramophones have the 'crying baby' logo / trade mark and some do not. (Some just have the name and address).
Does anyone know why this is ?

Re: 'Orchorsol' question
From the portables I have seen, I think that the revolting image of the bawling infant came later. I cannot imagine how or why it was chosen, but it cannot have helped sales of what was once a name mentioned in the same circles as EMG.

Stuff of nightmares, that image! I think epigramophone is right, it came later.

They took photos of the first family to own one and it scared the baby to death...
The image is important , since it became the first of many "Consumer Warning" labels - "Don't blame us if it scares your baby".
