This pre-war street scene in Ludlow includes a gramophone and radio dealer's shop, but I cannot see a name on it.
When time permits, I will look through my vast collection of record covers for anything Ludlow related.
Meanwhile, does anyone recognise the scene? Hopefully those historic buildings have survived.

In the entrance it seems that there's a PYE advert sign... If could help placing it in time...

The shop still exists today but its been a while since I've visited Ludlow so I'm not sure what it is now.
Had it been a better picture with detailed shop front view and from the 1920s I might have been tempted.

These photos make you wish a travel in time, a short visit (with today's money) etc...

And it seems this is the front of the shop today (or when Google took the photo)

Re: Gramophone shop in Ludlow.
A few minutes searching Gurgle images provided the answer. The premises were a music shop, continued as a gramophone shop and by the 1950's had embraced television, as evidenced by the signwriting for "Raulins" on the Jowett Bradford van parked outside.

I mean the tall tower just behind the Gramophone shop, it's in all these photos, but I can't find it in Google! I thought it was a church...
