Did this concoction ever get some exposure on the Forum? Some fantasy "restoration"

Interesting how it landed up in Germany. Hope the new owner has succeeded in restoring it back to original.
Because of the price it attained it has begun to appear for sale on classified sales sites (with 50% price reduction!! ).

Re: Berliner concoction
Hard to say from the photos, but the whole thing may be a fake, not only the horn and backing. Reproductions of the dog model are commonly found (made in the 70s, I presume), I have seen one of them in person, and it is not easy to distinguish it from the real deal.

The machine (most of it) is a very rare variant - hence the price. You see the "not to be sold in france or england" not seen this before...... coincidentally both former colonial powers of the originating country

Re: Berliner concoction
Indeed this was discussed back in April. The problem with this type of anachronistic nonsense is the redundant holes it will leave behind when put back to original state.

Re: Berliner concoction
True about the holes, but better to find one with a few extra holes than to not find one at all! (Naturally, better still to find one with no extra holes, but none of these come with a "holes" or "no holes" option these days )jamiegramo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 10:45 am Indeed this was discussed back in April.
