Well, you have summarised quite effectively the Italian "market" of gramophones, I'm afraid... I'm not a huge collector either, however almost all of the gramophones that I own were imported from UK, Germany or Austria, or were bought from other collectors who, in turn, imported them at some point in time (as the dealers' tags on the cabinets clearly tell in most cases). I don't remember ever seeing anything worth of attention at flea markets. Antique shops generally don't have gramophones or tube radios at all. :|

Enjoy your gramophone and don't worry too much about what would have been a "correct" price tag for it... If you enjoy it, it was worth every penny. ;)
