EMG power cord

Post by drh »

Could someone post a photo of an EMG Xb power cord? For reasons that need not detain us, a friend's cord has gone missing, his family needs to find it, and they don't know what it looks like. I can say that his EMG has two pins sticking out the back that appear to be where it would mount. Thanks to anyone who can help!

I can't recall ever seeing an EMG (apart from their electrical receivers/record players) having a socket and a separate cable, as opposed to a power cable that passes into the case - perhaps this is a late Mk IX from the 1940s? If so there may well be a Bulgin plug on the end, like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275019988830
BCN thorn needles made to the original 1920s specifications: http://www.burmesecolourneedles.com

I've seen others in oblong shape instead of cylindrical. Much like the old style power cords used to enlarge a short cord reaching further. A power cord with male and female plugs, one at each end.

Not really a socket, just two pins sticking off the back of the machine.

But also not really a major point now, as I had a message last night that the cord had turned up. Thanks to you both for your assistance!
