Though I'm an American, I feel the loss personally, as if a close relative had died. To me, Queen Elizabeth was the face of Great Britain. I also offer my condolences.

The greatest woman who has ever graced the Earth. We'll not likely see anyone like her again.
It's a very sad time but one for reflection to consider her incredible legacy. I've only ever known her as the Monarch in my lifetime. It's a terrible loss.
RIP Queen Elizabeth II
God Save The King!

Yes, my condolences to our UK colleagues for the loss of that fenomenal and unique Queen. Although I believe that UK will always be the same... It's British people what make it what it is. Charming and powerful country!

I am a long way from home at the moment, and I am sorely missing the 1953 Coronation Celebration coffee cup in which I habitually have my morning coffee. It had belonged to my Yorkshire grandparents.
Elizabeth had been Queen for as long as I have been alive. As a Canadian, I have been surrounded by her images everywhere. When I was a small child in kindergarten and elementary school, we sang God Save the Queen. I have seen her a number of times in person. It is as if there is suddenly a big tear in the fabric that has formed the backdrop of my life.

Last night I played my Decca three disc set "The Second Elizabeth". The 1953 Coronation was the first thing I ever saw on television.
I will be watching the State Funeral procession with pride. My son is one of the military musicians taking part.
