Looks like a variant of the Model 301 pictured in Dave Cooper's book.

The two horizontal rails crossing the grille possibly look like replacements to me.....and shouldn't they be painted black? The reddish yellow stain looks wrong and surely they weren't cheap softwood? I suspect the grille has sustained some damage at one time and been repaired. Still, it's a great machine and quite the rarity and if I was in Oz, I definitely would have bought it by now. Now, who does that sound like? :?

Is this not the original design of HMV 179?

I see the Aussie buyers sleepwalk as much as the Brits! How is this still available when it has an inexpensive But It Now price? Honestly......someone please buy it so I don't have to keep looking at it wishing i could buy it were it not for the seller not offering international shipping.
