This bamboo needle cutter has always been one of my favourites. It is very simple to use and works well with most of my sound-boxes.

Can anyone provide any information about it please I wonder ?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

The letters on the bottom point to France or a french speaking nation.

BTE = breveté = patented
SGDG = sans garanti du guovernement = without government guarantee.

James.

PS: I like it! :coffee:

I like its design. Very artful.
It looks like a lyre or the f-holes of a violin.

I see what you mean.

Wow !!!

I can't thank you enough OrthoFan. The documentation and patent date etc are fantastic.

I am really pleased that it just 'crept in' during the 1920's.

Thank you so very much again.

Another mystery solved !
