Sure makes me wonder where sellers get their prices.

Re: Overpriced A200
Not being a smart-Ass, but what should the price be ?
Judging from all the photo's and the rather longish description, I believe that he/she thinks it's pretty special.
Maybe it belonged to his/her Grandparents or great Grandparents and remembers how it was talked about and how expensive it was when it was new.
Lots of sellers get trapped in that situation unfortunately.

It's very nice, a really well-preserved original. I bet it'd sell at $350 to $450.
Mine was $260 and it was a "restored" one with a few historical inaccuracies & a full cabinet of great country & fox-trot records. Bought it because it was near, it was transportable by car, and it was an attractive cabinet.

It actually just sold on the local online auction site k-bid, for $639.99 https://www.k-bid.com/auction/40260/item/214
Craigslist ad is a copy/paste of the auction ad text/photos, which is sketchy.

Re: Overpriced A200
I think it is someone that is trying flip it for a huge profit. They say bring help to pick it up, not send shipper. Sounds like it is at an antique mall.

Assuming it's a real person, yes, they're trying to flip for a large profit. Ad is copied verbatim from the auction ad, so it's actually impossible to make any assumptions on shipping or pickup.

Ad is still up asking for $1500... they added "Firm on price" to the listing
