This seems to be an 8-30x that was updated to add electrical reproduction and radio.
It seems to be relatively a early modification.
For only $25 it seems like an interesting piece.

This sort of "improvement "would bring down the value of the machine because it's not the original way it was edisonplayer.

I like seeing items which have been (presumably) updated by an original owner to a related subsequent time period. I wonder the vintage of the electronics, and whether this was done during the Great Depression, to extend the usability of a cherished family piece.

I would love to see the electronics inside. A very well done conversion in my opinion- probably done in the '30s
