Henry Seymour Soundbox - box only ???

Post by poodling around »

I thought this is interesting.

A Henry Seymour soundbox box (original ?) but with an unrelated soundbox ?

I assume the soundbox is not a Henry Seymour original ????????????????

Ha ha !!!

Interesting, the seller does not seem to be a gramophone geek so maybe he has a Seymour soundbox under a pile of other stuff that he hasn't paid much attention to and intends to sell later, one day.

Maybe in a Bandmaster soundbox box !!!! :o

If you want to see what a Seymour soundbox looks like, there are many images on Chunny's website.

Very interesting. Thanks epigramophone.

I couldn't see one called a 'superphone' though and assume this was a specific model of soundbox that Seymour made maybe ?

I have a Seymour Superphone soundbox. It's not all that special beyond its oversize diameter. It is in fact a Swiss design anyway made by PIANINA and was simply badged as a Seymour.
