I saw this very interesting 1905 Columbia AJ on ebay, item 161141980027. Mr. Raphael Cole of Musical Treasures Of Miami is the seller. What is so unusual is the reproducer. It has the characteristics of a Talkophone reproducer, but has a label with Columbia data and markings. Do any of you think that the label is original, or not. I do know there were lawsuits between Columbia and Talkophone around 1909(I'm not sure of the dates). Columbia won, and bought out Talkophone. Sometimes you will see Columbia machines with Talkophone cabinets. The mystery on the reproducer is if this is an original Columbia label, was there a merger between Columbia and Talkophone as early as 1905, or were the lawsuits at that time? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Also, I want to thank Mr. Cole for providing extra pictures on his listing.
