A bit of a project... some veneer lifting, pot-metal may have issues...

Is it just my imagination, or is the cabinet color rather light ?

I'm used to Credenzas being fairly dark walnut, or mahogany...

It's likely been refinished, or exposed to a lot of sunlight over the years.

Looks like the original finish was stripped. Salvageable though. The color was in the lacquer.

I think the reserve may have put off people. Anyone close enough to pick it up wouldn't want to wast their time bidding it up to a fair price only to learn that the reserve is $1K or so.

Perhaps, but say theoretically if there wasn't.....and only one bidder.....it would have sold for $9.99.

The "Local Pick-up Only" option is also rather off putting.
