Undoubtedly correct. The slight spindle wear on the center of the label must be the result of some sort of store display, since the record has never been played.

Nae say if you like. My Great grandfather owned a record store. When it closed in 1929 my grandfather moved all the stock into his basement and Garage. If you don't trust the source just don't bid.

Just because this was part of a dealer's stock, it doesn't mean it's "new". Most dealers demonstrated records for potential customers and therefore played them, take this from someone who has bought several "dealer's stock" accumulations over the last few decades.

Stirling,

"My Great grandfather owned a record store. When it closed in 1929 my grandfather moved all the stock into his basement and Garage."

If you actually stated this in your eBay auction it might give more credence to your claim of "unplayed".

In all fairness, I'm not really seeing the "spindle hole wear" that has been mentioned. It just look like some label wear from rubbing against a neighboring record.

Well now, I'm glad you mentioned that. Look at the small recessed circle surrounding the spindle hole in addition to the light zig-zaggy lines surrounding the spindle hole. Looks like spindle marks to me.

Sounds like a great story you may want to share with us collectors. When you first posted in out YT section you didn't mention the record store part.

Very interesting.

I am curious as to why you are selling these under many new Ebay names with a 0 feedback. Most serious buyers prefer to buy from a seller that has established themselves selling. Seems somewhat counterproductive to me.
