These are great sounding orthophonics. It is the first phonograph I bought over 35 years ago. Someone got a good deal.

I agree—they can sound great and my 8-12 is one of my most frequently played Orthophonics. The first Orthophonic I got but still a favorite.

My 8-12 is played every day and the four spring motor is easy to wind. I play electric recorded records exclusively and I really like the sound. With bamboo needles I can leave the lid up and extend the fidelity to the high registers. Very little surface noise.
