Victrola XI on Craigslist NJ mint condition

While looking for VV-IX, I ran into this post for XI. The seller describes it as mint condition. I'm very tempted, but don't have space for the upright.

I saw that listing. It’s actually a VV-X, not a VV-XI. I’d ask specifically what they mean by all parts being mechanically “serviced”... all screws being “torqued” and everything else being oiled and greased doesn’t mean all that much. Has the reproducer even been rebuilt?

Very common machine. I would pass at that price.
