Re: Mid-Atlantic Edison Class M
Where are the pictures from the 2014 listing?
Current listing description: "Edison North American Class M Electric Phonograph, No. 7028, with reproducer “Standard Speaker” which was introduced in 1889, No. 15157, weighted two-ball governor, brake and large electric motor with driving horizontal pulley, on mahogany base with three nickel-plated plaques engraved respectively "Class M", "North American Phonograph Co., New York”, with ultimate patd. dates to July 31 1888, "The North American Phonograph Company" under the restrictions that it shall not be used within the State of New Jersey and with drawer numbered (17 3) as the basis. This is a bank transfer sale, pics/infos if needed/thank you."
THE "BANK TRANSFER SALE STATEMENT IS A DEFINITE RED FLAG, IN MY OPINION... I certainly wouldn't transfer funds to an account in the Canary Islands - Santa Cruz de Tenerife, especially to a seller with ZERO feedback and absolutely no guarantees.

This was extremely expensive machine and was purchased in 1890 for 220 $, when average salaries were around $ 40 a month.
The horn, which is also original, it was bought in Italy and is a RARE "Anglo Italian Commerce Company" that (see pictures) can be divided into two parts.
It makes you wonder how it traveled from near Rome in 2014 to the Canary Islands...
