Unusual HMV portable ?

I don't think I have seen this model before.

Can anyone identify it I wonder ?

The design is similar to some Pathé portables, which makes sense as Pathé's UK branch was acquired by Columbia in 1928 and therefore became part of EMI in 1931. According to the Guinness Book of Recorded Sound, Pathé continued to operate semi-autonomously into the stereo era, so it is not surprising to see what looks like a Pathé portable wearing an HMV lid transfer.
