It's a homebrew crystal radio - I've seen much worse examples before. Circa 1922 ?

I think it's interesting because there is a lot of history there. It does look like a crystal radio set that was built back in the 1920's, at a time when young hobbyists were ordering these parts from the back of pulp magazines. If I were a local radio collector, I might grab it at $75 or so, but not at $250.

Kind of neatly done really. I like it. The maker probably saw it on 1920's Pinterest :)

If it still works, it would be an interesting artifact... but this is the first time that I learned of the origin of Pinterest in the 1920s... :? :lol:
