Somebody added some decorations to a C19 that is just plain wrong in my view. Do you think, it was a good idea?

Not if they expect to get $800.00 for it ! Especially if the reproducer and motor is likely not rebuilt/ overhauled.

I think it looks beautiful! Never liked the look of the C19, but I think the decoration (which I will assume is old) fits quite nicely.

I thought this was about the utility company I used when I lived in Akron.

Let me think about the embellishments. I am sort of ambivalent.

I like it. I am not a huge fan of the way C-19's look but the ornaments were nicely made.

It's interesting, but not my taste. Having said that, if you told me that this was a factory-made prototype for a possible "alternate" or "fancy" cabinet (a la the inlaid Sheraton), I'd probably believe it.

Along this line, I notice a considerable difference in the molding--near the top--between a conventional C-19 and this cabinet:
