Craigslist for less than an hour

Post by Skihawx »

Found this on CL but it was gone in an hour.
Is this the rare cylinder machine?

It's either an Amberola III or a Diamond Disc A-150. They used the same cabinet. The III is by far the more desirable of the 2.

I am beginning to notice that anything special or underpriced online is getting grabbed pretty quickly these days...... Oh well, fun while it lasted ;)

So you can't tell by the picture. I didn't know they were the exact same cabinet.

It was located right outside of Syracuse. I thought maybe you were the guy that got it.

If it was a Amberola 3, I already have one. And if it was a diamond disc machine, I don't need another one. No more room. I was thinking about your c-4, but don't know how to fit it in. I already know how great it sounds as I restored a radio only version a long time ago. (r-4?)

You know, come to think of it, I had posted my 1971 BSA Lightning on Craigslist on Wednesday at noon. By 3 pm I had sold it somebody in NC. I've never put up and taken down an ad so quickly before.

The major plus of this machine is the set of record boxes, which are almost never seen. It's still overpriced at $450 IMHO, but maybe not with the boxes. It does have the correct oxidized bronze reproducer and the box too.
