And for those who cannot locate the reproduction card holder, second best option is to cut one out of a piece of Alumimium

I would think manually cutting new pieces from some flat brass is the way I would go. I have a similar job ahead of me in the slide holder for an antique slide projector. I don't have anything to copy from - at least you have a pattern ! .....IF you have the patience and the spare time.

The pattern for the holder is not the biggest problem, which is finding an original machine...
