Might not have been about me, but it was about one of my listings. eBay listings are a world-wide marketplace and various cultures expect discounts at different levels. And, as I have delineated elsewhere on the TMF, eBay and PayPal sales expose the seller to a much higher degree of risk when dealing with unscrupulous buyers. Thus, setting a high price and inviting offers, allows me to review the buyer’s credentials before concluding a sale.

Anybody can sell at or below “market” price. In my 40+ years of being in business, I have always gone out of my way to accommodate every customer’s special needs. There’s more than just price involved in any sale.
