This isn't totally correct but a steal for $200. I contacted them within 2 hours of it being posted and it was already sold.

Re: Someone got a great deal!!!!!
It can't be a Victor horn, it's got what looks like a factory hole in the top panel too.
The back bracket's graphics are gone and the "stop" has all the gold plating worn off, looks like it was a nickel plated one added to make the sale.
Still though, 200.00 bucks !!

Re: Someone got a great deal!!!!!
Horn looks like a Columbia but who cares--sell that and put it toward a mahogany horn or the japanned papier-mache horn.
The nickeled brake doesn't bother me-- for a $200 Victor VI you take that down & get it plated. And the nickeled edge of the turntable is correct as far as I know.
The reproducer looks like a nickel Victrola No. 2--swap out & call it good.
This was a scorching deal for someone & is a perfect base to build a lovely Victor VI.

Yep: with the bullet brake, gold plating would wear off; so Victor used nickel on the turntable.VanEpsFan1914 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 12, 2021 11:31 am And the nickeled edge of the turntable is correct as far as I know.
