These days that's a tough question. I paid $850 for a similar record cabinet for my XII, but it was beautifully refinished by Steve Farmer, AND that was 23 years ago. In its present condition, I'd estimate around $750 for the set now...and I may be overgenerous. The seller's attraction to phono-fiction may prevent a transaction - at least for now. We all learn patience in this hobby!

From what I got from our conversation, it’s either going to sell at that price (which I highly doubt it will) or he is going to keep it. I really don’t need another project, but I love restoring these. It would be a fun project. But 6 hours of driving for it is a little off putting.

There must be "something in the water" right now with some of these sellers.... I have looked at a few machines lately that I thought were a tad overpriced with the hopes that the seller would come down on their price. NO LUCK

I think there are going to be a lot of sellers keeping their machines if the current trends continue.... Or, a lot of cheap machines coming on the market in 6 months....

Like this:
The person isn't even aware that the horn won't fit the Vic 1 elbow with out an adapter.
The machine with all the missing bits is a bit over a 1000.00 bucks.
For a Vic 3 or better maybe, but not Victor 1.
