The colour scheme, which may not appeal to everyone, is clearly original and even extends to the soundbox.
Most unusually, the original cardboard carton in which it was delivered is still present.

Gorgeous and fascinating - but as you say, not necessarily to everyone's taste! I'll be keeping a close eye on this one!

I just made a comment on another thread about the 78 record 'Somewhere over the rainbow' by Judy Garland.

It seems kind of appropriate to say it again here ......................

Oh, is there something written / stamped onto the carrying handle ?

For some reason the seller has ended the listing! Early in the proceedings I sent an offer, but they said they'd had other interest and were going to let the auction run to its conclusion, which I totally respected - but I also asked them to contact me before accepting any other offer. I've sent another message to ask what's happened, but somehow doubt I'll get a satisfactory reply... :?

I managed to speak with the proprietor. They got a "silly offer" - somewhere well above £350 was all I managed to ascertain. Sharp practice, when they'd said they wouldn't do that - but I wouldn't have won it anyway.

Ha! If only they knew I was prepared to go well beyond that!
I just have this super soft spot for real oddities like this. What can I say? At least I didn't wind up inadvertently bidding against a forum mate.

Yes! you guessed my motivation! For display only unless I invest in some Burmese Colour Needles since they are vinyl. It would have gone well with a 1918 Vocalion splatter disc too- but again, just for display as those are vertical cuts.
