Did Victor continue production of acoustic machines with the "fat" taper-tube and mica-diaphragm soundbox after 1925, or was this machine modified ?

No they didn't. This is a Consolette model, and it had an Orthophonic arm, The grille cloth is not original either. This was cobbled together.

I've seen a few like this. I suspect that the back bracket broke and they borrowed the tonearm from their previous machine.
