Here is the world famous and ruggedly handsome Marc Capralis, carefully examining the pile recently. He left a few, and even though others have also bought a few now, there are plenty left from which to choose. I’ll update and repost the list shortly. Thanks.

George, I don't play them on my Victrola as you should know. I play them on my Columbia Viva Tonal. Peter had some really excellent discs there. I only bought a few because I already have HUGE collection of them. I love the Shanghai Dream Man record with Duke Yellman. I plan to make a video of it playing on my Beethoven. I really enjoyed my trip to Peter's house, an impressive 1911 Craftsman house, and I also got a nice, small Cheney in oak, style no. 2 Sheraton, which has turned out to be a very nice machine after giving it the GoJo treatment!

Congratulations on getting the Cheney! Those little Sheraton-style phonographs are nice-looking.

The Viva-Tonal joke was well-appreciated too. Least it wasn't a Crosley!

I’m finally summoning up the courage to try at-home shipping labels and USPS home pickup, with the help and encouragement of Our Outlandish Oregonian, George S.

So please take a look at the listings at the head of this thread, and PM me your list of the discs in which you are interested.

The bad news is that this took so long. The good news is that the prices will be adjusted downward to reflect the current conditions.

I’ll update the spreadsheet and post it shortly as well.

FOR SALE: Large Pile of Really Good Diamond Discs - $Variou

Post by PeterF »

Hi -

Resuming my effort to cull out the doubles and extras from my Edison Diamond Disc collection.

I have updated the whole list, below, and also have divided them so it's easier to see each disc. Items shown in italics are currently in play, so if you're interested you're second in line for now.

It's still true that there will be bulk discounts, and now there is the SNVYD (Special No-Vaccine-Yet Discount) on top of that. And if you buy more than 5 discs, I will toss in another (my choice) from this list...and two freebies if you buy 10, etc. Because with all this extra time on many of our hands, it's a good listening opportunity - and thus the more records, the better.

The grading (first column) is visual, and the other columns include the recording date, catalog number, artist, and title. When you see multiple gradings, that's because there are multiple copies of that record, with grading shown for each. I tried to grade each side separately, although both sides are typically equal - with some exceptions. Any questions, just ask.

Column headers are:

Condition RecDate Catalog Number Artist Title
