I'm interested in buying or trading for some of the "Schultz" comic monologues on Edison 2 minute wax cylinder by Frank Kennedy ("The Dutch Philosopher"). Below is a listing of most of his Edison recordings. I have some of these titles already but if yours is in better condition then I may be interested in it. Nice playing condition cylinders only please with little or no mold, no pits or cracks or excessive play wear. I've always thought it interesting that Frank Kennedy called himself "The Dutch Philosopher" when "Kennedy" is a very Irish surname! Anyway, thanks!

These sound interesting, surprisingly I have never heard of them before... now I'm wondering what "Embalmed Beef" actually is... 3844 Schultz’s Views On Embalmed Beef

"Embalmed beef" was most likely salt beef, or "bully beef".Curt A wrote:These sound interesting, surprisingly I have never heard of them before... now I'm wondering what "Embalmed Beef" actually is... 3844 Schultz’s Views On Embalmed Beef

I've never heard of salt beef or "bully beef" either, unless it refers to beef jerky...Lucius1958 wrote:"Embalmed beef" was most likely salt beef, or "bully beef".Curt A wrote:These sound interesting, surprisingly I have never heard of them before... now I'm wondering what "Embalmed Beef" actually is... 3844 Schultz’s Views On Embalmed Beef

That was beef preserved in brine, rather like corned beef.Curt A wrote: I've never heard of salt beef or "bully beef" either, unless it refers to beef jerky...
