FOR SALE: Pre-WWII Blues, Lucille Hegamin w/J. Russell Robinson - $50

Lucille Hegamin, Lincoln 2085, V++, light scuffing, recorded in August 1923 in NYC.

In November 1920, Hegamin became the second African-American blues singer to record, after Mamie Smith. She worked with Jelly Roll Morton, Clarence Williams and many others. (ref. Wiki)

J. Russell Robinson was a prominent pianist that played in silent films, recorded piano rolls, recorded with early blues vocalists and was a member of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band. With a right arm that was damaged by polio, he formed unusual techniques with his left hand. (ref. Wiki)
