This is a rarely seen opportunity to own the COMPLETE 4-disc set of the very scarce 1924 Official Boy Scout Record series. Pressed in Framingham, Massachusetts by The American Record Manufacturing Company, each of these records were adorned with an attractive and colorful picture label featuring two Boy Scouts standing on a mountain ledge.
Finding just one of these records is unusual but to find the complete set is almost impossible today. Each record is in very good to excellent condition and I have auditioned each on a modern turntable and each plays very nicely indeed and each is incredibly enjoyable.
Of interest within the group is #4 I Want To Be A Boy Scout / How To Spell Boy Scout which features child star, Jackie Coogan (1914-1984) who starred in the silent movie 'The Kid' from 1921 with Charlie Chaplin, speaking at the tender age of 10 on both sides of this record!
Also, hear Al Bernard singing on "Old Zip Coon". These records are not only scarce but they're also a lot of fun to listen to! I smiled as I played each one as these sides appeal to the young boy of the early 1920's. **One picture was a little blurry so I snapped another picture of it. : ) **
Sold only as a set please.
PM, PayPal Friends payment, packaged securely, shipped promptly, USPS extra at cost.
Thanks!
Doug
