ROSA CALIGARIS: 12” Milano 1903 black G&T Trovatore-Tacea la notte placiida (Verdi)
She was an important Verdi soprano and her few discs for G&T in 1903 and Pathé in 1904 are extremely rare. This is a generally clean copy with a little edginess on a few of the loudest notes. These early G&Ts require a smaller stylus for best results.
First stamper pressing of this rarity.
