For Sale: Hot Afro-American Jazz on Scroll Victors- Various

Post by gramophone-georg »

I'm offering some nice playing duplicate copies of African- American Jazz from my collection on Victor "Scroll" records. Please note that even if the visual grades may seem low, the wear is mostly scuff wear from years of being stored without sleeves (not by me!) and that all are great players. I have reviewed all before listing, and I play the entire record on my RCA 331 Duo with NOS Chromium needles- no "spot checks". "v" (lower case) denotes visual grade, p (lower case) indicates play grade, e.g., "v V, p E-" would indicate a visual grade of V and a play grade of E-.

1. V-38106, Fess Williams Royal Flush Orch, "Slide, Mr Jelly, Slide"/"Goin' To Get Cha". v V+ p E, slight label dmg, $45
2. V-38088, Henry Allen Jr NY Orch w/ Victoria Spivey, "How Do They Do It That Way"/"Funny Feathers Blues, v V+ p E-, sticker B label $45
3. 24511, Cab Calloway Orch., "There's A Cabin In The Cotton"/"The Scat Song", v E-, p E, label fade B, $35 SOLD!
4. 24059 (Argentina pressing) Washboard Rhythm Boys "Tiger Rag"/ Alex Bartha Orch "Hot Biscuits". v E+ p NM, $75
5. 23004, Jelly Roll Morton Red Hot Peppers, "Mushmouth Shuffle"/"I'm looking for a little Bluebird" v V, p E-, label fade B. $45
6. 23003, Fess Williams Royal Flush, "Just To Be With You Tonight"/"Everything's OK with me", v V+, p E-, label fade B $45
7. 22298, King Oliver Orch, "St James Infirmary"/"When You're Smiling", v V+ p E, slight lbl damage B, $25
8. 20330, Thos. Morris 7 Hot Babies, "PDQ Blues"/"Blues from the Everglades", v V+, p E, label tear B, $55

As always- Satisfaction guaranteed- Offers considered- Payment via PayPal "Friends and Family" or your good check. Happy collecting! :D
