Cost to manufacture the Victor VV-8-35 Horn

Post by MarkELynch »

Here is an interesting tidbit from the 1927 Victor Meeting Notes at Hagley concerning the cost and the maker of the metal 8-35 horns.

That is certainly interesting - and not surprising that the metal horn cost less to make than the wooden Credenza horn.

The site is now a parking lot. However, the homes and buildings that stood across from the plant are still there. Most likely, many of the original occupants were employed at Heintz. Cool!

That's a pretty cool piece of history, makes me wish I had a time machine. Rather than going to Disneyland or the Outer Banks, I'd so much rather be able to take a trip back to a period in time and visit there... heck I'd even prefer to visit the Outer Banks as long as it was 1963 instead of 2023!
