Just posted a machine from this company on http://www.noedison.com
The trademark of the phonograph "Au Sou BB 1855" was a reference to a rare & valuable Napoleon III coin from 1855. (obviously the phonograph is not from 1855!)
Does anyone have more info or a catalog from this company that they could share ?

Hi, you can find some more on company at this site (with one of the relevant pages linked):
http://www.phonorama.fr/photographies-p4.html
In particular, I found that the 5 and 10 centimes of 1855 really do carry BB on their reverse, and being at the low end of value is exactly opposite from the parasitic myth about high value of the "golden coin", having emerged. From the notes to the picture, I find that the marketing game was this: you can buy phonograph for these low value coins, paying only the rest in the ordinary money. I love such a brand selection, and those people on picture seem to be funky too. So far on hunt for my BB.
