Story about E.R. Johnson : April 8, 1977 (BTW the Larry Cohen film next to the article was a DOOZY of a movie)

Some blurb about how Mary was the first word recorded on Edison’s original machine. And NO I did not write this article, I could barely talk in 1991! 😆

In the above post, see the machine diagram near the bottom left corner: "Metal horn Stows inside lid". Has anyone really ever tried to do this???

Funny, I never thought of it once.

So In 1994 guitar legend Les Paul recorded some cylinders…has anyone here ever heard these cylinders or did they get locked up for the past 28 years? And what happened to Mr Paul’s cylinder after he passed away?

It appears Jack Stanley recorded them! I should ask him.

From January 8th 1945. By the way they talk about the machine in the article, you’d think it was 100 years old then!
