A well run auction. Steve Stanton, Chris and the whole gang always do a great job.
There were some real bargains to be had. In answer to the question, "were prices high or low", the answer is "Both". Good stuff brought very healthy prices, while average stuff was off some. Music boxes were very weak, in my opinion. A very nice 14" Mira that played perfectly and had a flawless case, still bothers me at a selling price of $1300. You can't buy them all though...
A Model L Amberola reproducer sold for $300, which was a real bargain if the stylus was good. (Even if it wasn't, it was a bargain I guess)

Does anyone know what the large Cremona nickelodeon sold for? I had a couple of player piano people ask me about that and I was just kind of curious about what it brought.

I left early Saturday but I am told the Cremona went for 40K. Stanton sold the same model (don't know of the relative conditions) for 30K in the fall 2014 auction.

I would say that's pretty good for a piano like that. For the most part nickelodeons are really depressed in price and it's unlikely that will change anytime soon. Thanks now.

This one looked super nice, like a recent rebuild.

Re: Any Stanton's Auction Updates?
Does anyone know what the Edison Amberola 1A sold for? I was there but didn't see it sell. Unlike some buyers, I can't go in at 8:30 am and sit until 10:30 pm listening to auctions. Also there was the usual sneak thief at work at this auction. If you don't lock up your wins, you can easily lose things like horns, records, reproducers, and even phonographs, etc. But sometimes someone steals something off an unsold item, like the Victrola with the Pooley cabinet. Someone stole the door knobs, and Mr. Stanton was obviously upset about it, but it's happened before. I think I noticed them missing as early as Thursday.

Yes, it can be nerve-wracking, and after three days my head was splitting. Even Steve Stanton ran out of steam and turned the auctioning over to Chris for Day 3.
For the benefit of those who have never attended, here are some snippets:

Despite the constant drone of auction lots being sold, it is great fun, and an opportunity to learn from others. I always sit between Ron Haring and Don Gfell, and the wisdom that they impart to me during the show is priceless. Plus, you won't find a nicer, more cooperative and more honest auctioneer than Steve Stanton, he is truly The Best.
I am already counting the days until the November auction....
