NEFaurora wrote:I noticed that the picture with the "little lord" with the Edison Standard phonograph and cylinders has to be Mid 1906 or shortly afterwards seeing that the Edison Standard in the photo has the Edison "Script" decal which came out in the summer of 1906. Prior to the summer of 1906 the Edison Standard had the Banner decal.

The photo was dated 1904 which is impossible. It has to be 1906 or later...!

Sorry for the delay. Trying out Windows 8. I made a typo on the photo title. The photo is believed to be February 1908. We discussed this in great detail on a previous thread.

Rod,

As an avid genealogist and phonograph collector, I find your pic to be amazing - especially in light of the fact that you know what happened to the people and the phonograph. I am always interested in stories relating to the discovery of family history.

It took me more than three years to find a picture of my grandfather who died in 1919 and no one in our immediate family had ever seen a picture of him, including my dad. He was from Michigan and I found it in Cincinnati, where it had been laying in a basement unidentified for many years.... long story about how I knew without doubt that it was him.

A Zonophone outdoors, and Keller coin-ops under a tent! Those are fantastic images!

Thanks George. Rene, the Keller Automatics photo is one my favorites, along with the Zonophone A. Did you notice the beach scene is actually a Berliner "concert." I have some others, but they are not yet scanned.
