Weight of a Victrola IX

Post by gemering »

Can someone give me the approximate weight of an early victrola IX? Its the first version of the case without the small legs.
I'm guessing around 50 pounds.
(See the Yankee Trader section for photos.)
Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Thanks---I didn't look far enough!

Maybe it's too obvious to suggest using a bathroom scale to weigh the IX.

Is there a prize for guessing correctly? Lke at the fair? :)

I just mailed an IX on Saturday and it was 58 lbs all boxed up in a 24x24x18 box with ample packing inside. About $60 UPS from Minneapolis to Tacoma.

Sorry, No prize for guessing.
My bathroom scale is digital and recently stopped working due to a loose wire.
I would've guessed between 50 and 60 pounds.
Thanks for the info!
