A Band in a Box – The early history of phonographs (working title)

Los Angeles, CA – DreamQuest Productions announced today the start of Pre-Production on the feature documentary film A Band in a Box (working title).

A Band in the Box will be produced and directed by Allan R. Smith a collector himself and a veteran of 30 years in the film industry. The story of early phonographs in America, this film will start with the history of Edison and transition to Victor, Columbia and beyond. The production will include interviews with leading collectors around the US, leading historians on Edison and the phonograph, as well as reenactments and archival footage from both film and advertising collections.

The technical advisors for the film will be Scott & Denise Corbett, experts and well respected in the phonograph collecting community.

How you can help
1. We are looking for historians and experts in Edison and the history of the phonograph.

2. Collections to film.

3. Location, museums, etc.

4. Serious collectors to interview.

5. Have a better name for the film? Let us know.

6. Help get the word out about the film.

7. Fund raising to help off set production costs and make this film possible.

You might be setting yourself up for trademark infringement for using "Band In A Box".
