Nice Cylinder Record Cabinet. Look!

Post by Jerry B. »

Here are a couple of photos of a record cabinet that I posted in the Trader section about a month ago. I was for sale about an hour from my house and the photos I posted were poor. This gives a better idea what Mattrx purchased. The Opera on top is an upcoming project. Jerry Blais

It sure looks like General Phonograph Supply Co. bought a Herzog product and labeled it as their own.

The Opera's case and horn looks good from here. It just needs a tune-up?

I picked up the cylinder cabinet for Mattrx and will deliver it to Union next June. The Opera was poorly refinished and the separations in the horn were filled instead of being re-glued. (John, what type of glue should I use?) When it's finished, you'll see it in the Trader section. Thanks, Jerry

I'm regretting not buying that cabinet now...it looks so much better out of the dark, dingy antique shop! :(

I use tight bond. Its a Luthier glue that holds forever. Best wood glue money can buy.
