Featured Phonograph 91: Vernis Martin Record Cabinet

Since we haven't seemed to have a featured phonograph for some time, I thought that I would share with you some better pictures of a disc record cabinet that I found in Arkansas a while ago. It's just so unusual!

Interesting Facts: This record cabinet of an unknown make in the classic Vernis Martin finish is the only one of its kind that I have ever seen. Given the obvious shading on the top of the cabinet, it is clear that a phonograph of some kind once rested upon it.

There are no knobs on the doors. Instead, the cabinet is opened by a lever on the side that is connected to a series of rods that open the doors.
