Paul,

Ironic that you should mention that, as I do have another Columbia cylinder machine in the works (an image from George P.). On top of that, I have several in-progress machines (including a spider-leg VV-X for the Victor fans, phonotographed by brianu), because apparently I cannot work on any single thing at a time without wanting to multi-task.

Hopefully you are continuing to enjoy your birthday!

Is it Paul's Birthday?
Why do we need signatures when we are on a first avatar basis?

Brad—It is, for another 2¼ hours (EST). This forum (much as it was on ProBoards) announces birthdays at the bottom of the main page [under ‘Birthdays’, for a bit longer, you will see “Congratulations to: Edisonfan (38)”].

I think the birthday boy may already have gone to bed on us, though...but we can always celebrate with a few more Edison photos or cylinder discussions without him. That way, he has something to look forward to in the morning. ;)

Thank you Brad and Kirk.

I did not get any phonograph goodies as presents. I buy those for myself. I just got a book, form my father. It's not phonograph related, though.
