Hello Bil
I hope we are not too late in responding to your request. I just acquired this Brunswick over the weekend and will try to provide as much as possible. I will also include a few photos to help you make identifications that I cannot , since I’m pretty ignorant to Brunswicks. I mainly have Victrolas and Edisons.

Official Model/Style Code 127
Type of phonograph upright "Floor Model
Serial Number 159055
Lot number, 4333
Finish, Japanese lacquer with paintings
Type of Reproducer , not sure, see photo.
Horn shape, Oval.
Motorboard material and features ,black
Motor type, not sure at this time.
Finish/material of hardware , gold plated
Type and color of medallion, see photo. Not sure what it’s called.

I hope this helps. Does anyone know the numbers on this type with the Japanese pantings? Seems pretty rare. Couldn’t pass it up by the condition.
Also can someone tell me the difference between this model 127 and a 27 I found on line on a California site that looks The same.
Can’t wait to do some research on these models.
Happy I found this room.

Are you interested in the details about my Panatrope 42 changer or is it a later model than what you are databasing?

Hi and welcome to the forum.

You have a ultona reproducer.

This machine looks a lot like the one that just sold at the Donley auction this past weekend.

My way of thinking is that if the machines height is greater that its width it's an upright, but if the width is greater than its height it's a console.
I haven't come across a machine yet where both those are equal, so not sure how I'd classify such a machine??

Phonomike, right on, that’s the beast. After seeing it live and getting out bid on another phonograph, I decided to go for this one if it didn’t get out of hand. I think I got a really good deal on an almost perfect model. Randy Donley gave me the background on this unit, prior to the sale, that his father bought many years ago from the original owner. I’m in the process of getting the background in writing from them for my documentation.
Now I need to learn more about them, and how to take care of the finish.

Phonogal, many tks for the link.

Official Model/Style Code 15 (according to catalog picture I saw)
Type of phonograph upright "Floor Model"
Serial Number 91282
Lot number, 3128
Finish, Mahogany
Type of Reproducer , not sure, dual mode (rotates)
Horn shape, Oval.
Motorboard material and features ,black seems to be a wood type material
Motor type, not sure at this time.
Finish/material of hardware , nickel plate?
Type and color of medallion- none...don't see any place one would be mounted.

The unit sat in my grandma's basement forever, we acquired it when she passed, we used it a couple of times, then it became a refinishing project that was never completed (around 37 years ago) it ended up in the attic, and I just picked it up and brought it home. luckily it seems to be complete (haven't yet found the small mounting screws...but everything else seems to be there).

The outer finish is dull, crinkled, and dark, hence the desire to refinish it.

Now I have to figure out how to proceed.

Finally getting around to this. I hope it helps and I hope it helps me. I know of only one other like this and I'd love to have more information. (I've replaced the grille cloth with a green cloth.)

Pictures included.

Official model/style -- ?

Type of phonograph -- upright floor model

Lot number -- 1414-17270 (the only number I could find on it -- see pics)

Finish -- Oak

Type of reproducer -- Ultona double head

Horn shape -- oval

Motor board material -- wood (oak)

Motor type -- two spring

Finish of hardware -- gold (but cabinet knobs are wood)

Medallion -- none (and I see no nail/screw holes for one)

Documentation -- none (but I'd sure line some copies of what came with it from the factory!)

David,

If I may humbly suggest, I believe your cabinet is walnut and your reproducer is the Panatrope style. ;)
