Yep - it's a Herzog.  They used the same design for sheet music cabinets and cylinder record cabinets.  Very nice!

The music cabinet I've seen had a Herzog decal on the top surface of the baseboard, only exposed when the shelves are open.

Yes I agree that a cool item. I have never seen such a version around here. It reminds me a bit of the Edison system of storage. I would wonder however how one keeps track of what is where?  That is the down side to cabinets. But then I guess nearly all storage has a similar issues, how to keep track of what is where?
