That's a VV-4-40 -- http://www.victor-victrola.com/4-40.htm -- without its legs.

I've seen a few of these 4-40's that have had the legs sawn off. Strange. A 4-40 with no legs would have it's lid barely more than two feet off the floor. The one in the pic with a part remaining is probably about 28 " high.

I've seen a Granada with the legs sawed off, I think it was used in a childs bedroom because of all the stickers on the sides

I don't know what model that leg in the ebay ad...
... belongs to, but it's not for a VV-4-40, all of which had identical style legs, as shown in this photo -->

It appears to me to be a Barona rather than a 4-40. Note the buried walnut veneers on the top, and the dark stained surrounds on the doors. Terrible shame about the legs, though. Were I still fooling with medium sized machines I'd be tempted to substitute the legs from a mahogany 4-40 with a rough finish for the sawed-off units, for those Canadian walnut cabinets are awfully pretty when complete.OrthoFan wrote:That's a VV-4-40 -- http://www.victor-victrola.com/4-40.htm -- without its legs.
