How many plays should an early VV-VI with a flat crank provide?
I get one play on a winding.

The early IV's came with a 13 ½' spring 1" wide. Tiny compared to the later 17' spring at 1 ¼" wide. My experience is that you should get about 5 minutes of play time per winding with a new spring, not enough to play 2 sides of a 10" record.

I get about 1 ½ plays on my early VV IV. But then again, I don't wind it to full capacity.
