Saw a victor Royal today, how common?

Post by larryh »

Just got back from a auction in a small town, they what they advertised as a table model victrola. It turned out to be a Victor Royal according to my book. But I had no clue as to what it was as horn machines have never been my interest. I knew it must be early by the looks of it. It was complete as far as I could see and worked. It has the extra small reproducer on it. I didn't stay to see it sell since it was yet another couple hours to go. And things were going pretty steep and a lot of dealers were there who know doubt were willing to bid it up.

I wondered how common they are and about what kind of value they might have for curiosity?
